Overview

Sixelf is a revolutionary platform designed to cater specifically to the needs of designers, providing them with a dedicated space to track and showcase their design contributions across several teams and projects similar to GitHub's contributions wall for developers, Sixelf focuses on visualizing and highlighting the creative endeavors of designers across various projects.

Problem Statement

Designers often face challenges in showcasing their work and contributions effectively. Unlike developers who have GitHub repositories and contribution graphs, designers lack a centralized platform to exhibit their design contributions. SixElf aims to bridge this gap by offering a user-friendly and visually appealing platform for designers to curate and present their design projects.

Main Objectives

• Create a platform where designers can showcase their design contributions.

• Provide a visual representation of a designer's activity and impact over time.

• Foster a sense of community and collaboration among designers.

• Enable potential employers or collaborators to assess a designer's skills and style easily.

Key Features

Linking Figma Accounts, teams, projects and files seemlessly - This enables the platform to fetch the user's contribution right from when the figma account was created.

There are 2 ways to do the linking, the first way is right from onboarding, where in one step the user connects a Figma account and a team/file under that account.

The second way to connect a Figma account is after signup, which is a slightly longer flow, as the user might prefer to add an account now and add teams and files under that account later.

Design contributions feed - Similar to GitHub's contributions wall, SixElf displays a visual timeline of a designer's contributions over a specified period.

Contributions can include project updates, design iterations, and collaborative efforts, fostering transparency and recognition. This is done automatically once a Figma Account and a team or file has been connected.

Recognition and Metrics - Gamification elements and Design metrics, such as contribution frequency, and streak, provide valuable insights into a designer's overall contributions and workrate, and encourage active participation and quality contributions.

Profile and Socials - A super easy way to add social media accounts, bio and a DP

Projects and works - A dynamic portfolio section which allows designers to upload and display their best work, providing a comprehensive overview of their skills.

Upgrade and Pricing - A clear and easy interface for users to add multiple projects, accounts, teams and files. Also to manage their subscription.

Future Enhancements

Integration with other popular design tools (Adobe Creative Cloud, Sketch and others) for automatic contribution tracking.

Incorporation of user feedback and iterative improvements.

Mobile application development for on-the-go access to design contributions.
